EEUA representative has successfully participated in the 8th International Educational & Recreational Fair-Beirut in Lebanon. The event was held at Movenpick Hotel & Resort and lasted for 3 days, namely October on 03-05, 2013. The excellent organisation of the fair is the merit of international education agency EduCom Overseas which is one of the leading Lebanese agencies that has been sending students to various destinations overseas for many years.

The attendance was free of charge for all students and their parents so that all the interested students got the chance to meet the top-notch educators and university representatives from different countries and obtain first-hand information about undergraduate & postgraduate courses abroad.

The fair was attended by a large number of Lebanese students of different age categories who all showed great interest in Russian and Ukrainian universities, in particular in various English medium programmes as virtually all Lebanese are at least trilingual, with Lebanese, Arabic, and English or French. Such degree courses like Medicine, Engineering and Management were as usual in the limelight and aroused most interest.

EEUA rep provided the students with all the necessary information support and helped students successfully choose the relevant university for their field of studies. In order to gain a better understanding of HE in Russia&Ukraine, Lebanese students were also shown different videos featuring Russian&Ukrainian universities and cities. They were particularly impressed by the big cities like Moscow, Kyiv and Kharkiv. However, a lot of students also got attracted by regional cities like Ivano-Frankovsk and Belgorod.

In general all Lebanese students were active and eager for information posing numerous questions about Russian culture and heritage, as well as the diversity of the campus, as Lebanon is the most religiously diverse of all Arab countries and has the most equal proportion of Muslims to Christians. The students were very satisfied to find out that both Russia and Ukraine are multicultural and all religions are accepted and welcome.

Overall EEUA participation in this Education Fair may be considered truly auspicious as there was immediate response from students who started sending applications the very next day after the fair.
