In frame of the project “Study in Russia” EEUA and a delegation of Russian universities have visited Pakistan with a series of seminars for Pakistani students.

 

The delegation consisted of the following Russian universities:

 


-        Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University – Dr Evgeniy Kapustin, Director of the Centre of International Education

 

-        Moscow State Technological University “STANKIN” - PhD Nadezhda Popova, Director on International office

 

-        Moscow State University of Economics and Informatics - Prof. Victor Blagodatskikh, Director on International office

 

-        Eastern European University Association Mr Bogdan Voronovskiy, Executive Director of EEUA

 


The visit of the delegation was supported by EEUA Director in South Asia - Mr Waleed Ullah Shah who helped to organize the program and successfully  implement all the goals of the project.

 

The delegation visited a number of schools and colleges in different cities of Pakistan and informed the potential students about the possibilities of studying in Russia, the courses available, mediums of instruction, admission requirements etc. Moreover an Education Seminar was held at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Rаwalpindi so that all interested students could obtain comprehensive first-hand information about education in Russia.


The students were extremely glad to see university representatives in person and be able to ask questions and communicate with them directly. Young Pakistani were interested both in English and Russian medium programs whereby many of them expressed their willingness to study Preparatory course in the leading Russian universities.

  

Moreover, in frame of the project “Study in Russia”, the Pakistani students also had an incredible opportunity to participate in an Olympiad in Mathematics and win a scholarship for studying engineering degrees in the leading Russian universities.  A great number of students took part in the Olympiad and are looking forward to the announcement of the results of the competition.


EEUA is glad that more and more students from Pakistan are coming to study in Russia and the interest towards Russian education is growing at a skyrocketing pace. 

 

Along with the organization of the students seminars, the Russian delegation also visited Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in Islamabad and concluded several bilateral cooperation agreements with a number of universities in Pakistan. Among them were COMOSTA Islamabad (COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT)), International Islamic University Islamabad, NUST  Islamabad (National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Preston  University Islamabad, Brain College, Technical College Faisalabad, Agricultural University Faisalabad, Punjab University Lahore.  


EEUA believes that the established cooperation agreements will contribute to the student mobility between Russia and Pakistan.
