EEUA trip to Latin America finished with a visit to Ecuador on April 10-15, 2014, to participate in Latin America EDUEXPOS and hold a seminar for EEUA prospective postgraduate students.
EDUEXPOS was held in Quito and turned out to be a huge event visited by more than 1000 prospective students from different regions of Ecuador. Students were crowding near EEUA stand trying to find out as much information as possible and eager to leave their details for future contact.
Ecuadorian students are very mobile and ready to do everything necessary for doing a degree overseas. Thus, a lot of students expressed their willingness to take up Russian language courses, i.e. Preparatory course at the university, in order to study in Russian language. Students were mainly interested in Medicine, Economics, Teaching, Engineering and Business. Some students already have friends studying in Russia who have shared their positive experience making their peers wish to follow their example.
Information at EEUA stand was available both in English and Spanish languages so all the students felt comfortable and managed to obtain all the necessary information.
We would like to thank our long-term reliable partner WEA Education and its CEO - Ing. Ricardo Toscano - who made everything possible for successful and effective visit of EEUA representative to Ecuador.
Moreover, WEA organized a separate seminar for Postgraduate medical students who intend to come to study in Russia for this educational year. EEUA was glad to meet with the students and answer their questions about medical specializations, duration of the programs and nostrification of documents during the preparatory course.
EEUA and WEA also visited several private high schools in the region and delivered informative presentations in Spanish as to the opportunities and advantages of studying in Russia. A lot of pupils showed great interest and asked questions about the particulars of Russian education.
EEUA is pleased to have visited Ecuador and is looking forward to seeing many Ecuadorian students at the Russian universities!
