July 14, 2014, EEUA conducted representative a student seminar in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Interested students came one by one to obtain more information on education in Russian universites. Quite a number of students were interested in Engineering courses and wanted to know more about the admission procedure and criteria. Students were eager to check out opportunities of both studying in English and in Russian language, and strongly emphasized the importance of part-time job availability during education. EEUA was glad to inform them that foreign students are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week along with their classes at university. Students were also excited to find out that some Russian technical universities even provide job placement upon graduation.

Colombo has many International Schools that have come up in the recent years whereas education institutions in Colombo have a long history. Colombo has many of the prominent public schools in the country, some of them government-owned and others private. Most of the prominent schools in the city date back to the 1800s when they were established during the British colonial rule, such as the Royal College Colombo established in 1835.

EEUA will continue coming to this fascinating country with rich nature resources and, as it appears, rich student resources!!! We will be glad to welcome Sri-Lankan students at our Russian campuses and provide them with full support!
