April 02, 2015 EEUA representative participated in the 6th International research and practice conference “The role of international education in the modern world’ which took place at the Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Beijing. The event was organized by the Centre on International Cultural Projects “OuLu” . The conference was attended by the members of Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Beijing, OuLu members, officers of the Secretariat on international affairs of the government of Beijing, representatives of the embassies from Russia, the USA, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenia and Kyrghiziya, officers of the Centre for study abroad services under the Ministry of Education of China, Beijing international education centre members, as well as the representatives of several Russian universities.
In frame of the conference the participants discussed the topical issues in international education, the growing interest in obtaining degree overseas, as well as the role of international education in the preparation of highly-qualified specialists, strengthening of the mutual understanding and friendship between the nations.Special emphasis was laid on the further improvement of the level and quality of international education for the successful upbringing of the young generation.
The speakers underlined the role of international education exchanges in the development of the humanitarian cooperation between the countries, as well as the importance of holding such conferences as it provides the participants with favourable environment for sharing their experience in of the cooperation types in the international education and of the education services of Russian and the promotion of education services of Russian and foreign higher education institutions on the Chinese market.
