May 26-28, 2015, EEUA representative traveled to Namibia’s capital Windhoek to participate in the annual Careers Expo Education Fair. The fair is organized annually and is by far the largest one in Namibia, gathering hundreds of students from all over Namibia who are interested in studying abroad.
A lot of students passed by EEUA stand and showed immense interest towards education in Russia. Most of all the students were interested in English-taught courses, such as Engineering, Medicine, Economics, Construction, IT, Management etc. EEUA representative gave out leaaflets with information about the courses in different Russian universities, as well as guided each interested student towards the options to study his major.
The fair was perfectly organized in terms of communication with students – high school students were brought to the fair by buses and divided in separate groups, which allowed to show PPT presentation about education in Russia to a group os students at the same time. Students were fascinated not only by the attractive price range but also by living condiitions and the beauty of the Russian cities.
Our participation in the fair was very productive and some students have already filed applications for 2015 intake. We will continue to participate in these fairs and will be glad to provide full support to Namibian students interested in studying in Russia!
