The European Day of Languages,a yearly event celebrated at the end of September, brought together arepresentativeofEasternEuropeanUniversityAssociationin China, the Director of Center for Cooperation with Asian Countries from SouthwestUniversity (Kursk), the students and teachers from Kursk School 44specializing in foreign languages, who initiated the discussion, and the faculty and students of Ludong University (Yantai, Shandong Province, China) to the online conference held on September 28, 2015. The conference was devoted to the issues of linguistic and cultural diversity, crosscultural communication and international education.
Ludong University was represented by the students and teachers from China, Russia, the USA, Germany, Ukraine, Thailand, Armenia, and Ghana. In a very friendly atmosphere, the online conference participants discussed the importance of being able to speak foreign languages, advantages of studying abroad and going overseas for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, possibilities of doing scientific and academic research in different countries. The participants from Ludong University answered the questions of the Russian participants, encouraged the students to keep studying foreign languages and invited them to come to China.
29 September, 2015, the EEUA representative had a meeting with the administration of Ludong University. They discussed some potential and efficient ways of cooperation in the field of Higher Education.
