The EEUA representatives came on a visit to Amman in order to conduct several seminars for prospective students. The applicants were of different origin: not only Jordanian, but also Palestinian, Saudi, Iraqi etc. This fact contributes to the idea of multicultural consistency of this unique Middle Eastern country. This trip is the first in the chain of visits to the Middle Eastern countries and it turned out a quite successful one. Young people showed decent interest in the higher education in Russia and Ukraine, in the medical courses in particular. Furthermore, they were explicitly shocked by the fact that studying in these countries can be affordable and effective at the same time. Many of them asked questions about the cost of life in the states, the entertainment and the people. They expressed sincere curiosity about the geography, history and weather conditions. It was obvious how engaged they became in the whole idea of embarking on a course in Russia and in Ukraine and how excited they became about the videos, brochures and numerous other materials provided by the Association. The partners in Jordan - the renowned Oval Consultancy Services agency hosted the workshops in their cosy office in the centre of Amman and arranged a very hearty welcome. On our side, The Eastern European Association of Russian and Ukrainian Universities looks forward to welcoming many Jordanian students and residents of Jordan at Russian and Ukrainian universities!
