Previous week had been remarkable and intense for the Eastern European Association due to the visits of important guests to Russia. The personality of Dr. Ihsan Ali – the Vice Chancellor of Abdul Khan University in Mardan, Pakistan, has become well known around the world. Himself a professor of Archeology, he had delivered lectures on History and Culture of the region at famous universities in the USA, the UK, Europe and Japan. Besides, he has proved to be a dedicated patriot and developer of Pakistan’s cultural sphere. A number of museums in Pakistan have been established all over Pakistan owing to the enthusiasm and coordination of this man. Taking all the impressive accomplishments of Dr. Ihsan Ali, the EEUA group had been honored and pleased to host him in the capital of Russia – the beautiful Moscow! The initial aim of the business trip was to discuss possible ways of cooperation regarding PhD candidates. In the course of two days, Dr. Ihsan Ali managed to attend the Peoples’ Friendship University and the Moscow State Engineering Institute. There he could get a closer look at all facilities offered by universities, including campuses and study rooms. Apart from the official program, the professor had a chance to admire major sights of the historical center of Moscow as well as to get an understanding of the unique Russian art at the famous Tretyakov gallery. The visit of Dr. Ihsan Ali has been undoubtedly invaluable for projecting mutual programs of cooperation with Abdul Khan University in Pakistan. The decent conclusion of the visit was decision to systematically provide PhD candidates of Abdul Khan University in Moscow, ehich the professor himself called a city of vast opportunities perfect for studies and development of young specialists. Hopefully, next time Dr. Ihsan Ali wil have a chance to discover other wonderful cities and universities of both Russia and Ukraine! We look forward to seeing Dr. Ihsan Ali in these countries in the nearest future.
