Invitation for FAM trip 2013 - a snowy fairytale in Russia and in Ukraine
The Eastern European University Association is glad to invite you on the annual “Familiarization trip” to Russia and Ukraine, which will take place in February, 2013. This tour is an exciting yet challenging experience, in the course of which you will admire several cities of Russia and Ukraine, visit universities on your way and feel the atmosphere of the legendary Russian winter. Though chilly and too frosty at times, it is a beautiful season, when the snow covers all the surroundings and makes the scenery look dreamlike and stunning! We will get started by arriving at Moscow, the capital of Russia and incidentally the world’s magnet of billionaires! Here you will go on a sightseeing tour, visit several most prominent universities and even try skating on the icing rink in the center of the city! Next day we will move to Belgorod, where you will be heartily welcomed by the team of Belgorod State University that has also prepared a special excursion around the city! Following destinations will be in Ukraine. Zaporizhiya can hardly be called a popular travelling point. However, the cultural background of Zaporizhiya is created by a philharmonic, a number of museums, theaters, libraries. The next stop will be another undiscovered pearl of Ukraine – the city of Sumy, which is largely dominated by monasteries and cathedrals that make the city mesmerizing, especially in winter time! The culmination of the journey will be in the capital of Ukraine – the magical Kiev. This city is famous for its past heritage and modern technologies at the same time! You will be awestruck by the city’s infrastructure and bustling life! Mind that you will be accommodated at university campuses in all the cities, thus getting impressed by the high living conditions foreign students get when they come to study in Russia or in Ukraine.
