The International Universities Conference

Under the inspiring motto “Boundless education” the second annual International Universities Conference organized by EEUA was solemnly opened on April 22, 2013 in Bolshoi Petrovskiy Hall of the President hotel. The event was visited by about 83 universities, i.e. 97 participants, who conducted the total of 630 pre-scheduled appointments with interested parties during the 2 days of the conference.

On the first day all participants indulged in informative sessions concerning the current issues of educational systems of Russia and CIS countries, as well as different student mobility programmes. The second day of the conference was highlighted by an exceptionally informative speech devoted to World University Rankings delivered by Phil Baty, Editor of Times Higher Education Rankings, as well as a presentation on behalf of Sochi Olympics Organizing Committee.

The crowning gesture was the dinner on the boat along the reputed Moscow river. The next day, the participants had ample time to see the capital and enjoy the beautiful sights of the city.

All in all the participating foreign and CIS universities not only established collaboration in different spheres, exchanged informative leaflets and handouts, but also met potential partners with mutual interest and experienced Russian hospitality.
