   Chechen State University dates back to 1938 and continues traditions of classic university education combined with advanced study technologies. It operates in a multi-level educational system, which allows to produce highly qualified specialists. Studying at Chechen State University offers a pathway to promising employment opportunities and a successful career.


   The University is the largest one in the Republic and it admits students on every level of education: specialist, Bachelor, Master, and graduate school. The study process is carried out on nine faculties and in four institutes.


   The University prides itself in providing all modern facilities and high technologies. The classrooms are equipped with white interactive boards, video-conferencing technology. Students have access to extensive e-library resources, Russian and international databases.


   The University management pays special attention to developing an academic mobility of staff and students and works actively on inviting prominent researchers and academic staff from other regions of Russia and abroad for joint research and work.

Grozny, a city in the south of Russia, is the capital of the Chechen Republic and one of the largest cities of the Northern Caucasus in terms of its territory and population as well as being its historical and cultural centre. Today Grozny is one of the most beautiful and dynamically developing cities of the Caucasus. It has a mild climate and comfortable infrastructure. Its location in the heart of the Republic makes it very easy to reach other parts of Chechnya and neighboring regions such as mountains in the south, cosy and welcoming villages, resort cities of Kislovodsk and Pyatigorsk, the Caspian sea.

Student Accommodation



   Chechen State University offers international students comfortable halls of residence that consist of one or two bedroom houses. The maximum number of residents in one cottage is five people. All homes are fully furnished, the kitchen is equipped with a cooker, fridge, microwave and kitchenware. Each cottage has two bathrooms (one on each floor) with a tub and a washing machine and a living room with satellite TV.

Student life



Student life at our University is very exciting and is not limited to only lectures and seminars. Various events are organized regularly such as competitions between departments and universities, contests, social campaigns, student championships. Students take part in all imaginable cultural events, festivals (KVN – a uniquely Russian student initiative, Student Spring), self-organised flashmobs. Sport is an inseparable part of student life too. There are 14 sports societies, two swimming pools and several sports grounds. The United Council of University Students functions in order to ensure students’ interests are represented in different spheres of academic and non-academic activities. The students wishing to participate actively in the University life are welcome to join the already existing student societies and initiatives or form their own.
